Denley Hulands
When Denley was born, the doctors told her Mum and Dad that she would never walk or talk because she was born with a rare disability. But that didn’t stop her! As a young child, she used to communicate using sign language. By the time she started kindergarten, she was just starting to learn how to walk. She is now 23 years old. She was educated in Goulburn, at Trinity Catholic College and graduated in 2016. At school she enjoyed taking Drama and has also completed a Certificate 3 in Hospitality. When Denley moved to Bathurst a few years ago she started a Performing Arts course through BMEC. Acting makes her feel confident and happy and has helped her overcome a lot of obstacles in life.
Denley will be collaborating with Catherine McNamara as part of the BARN residency.
