Sara Isherwood

Sara is a performer, writer and community arts facilitator, living in FNQ, who also runs a mobile pizza van. She is working on three scripts at the moment including a physical theatre piece and one woman show. As well as performing, she is a visual artist, teacher, community arts facilitator and producer. Her career spans 20 years and includes acting, writing for performance, freelance writing, journalism, community arts facilitation, teaching, technical design and management, stage management, and event management. She is also a trained drama teacher. After completing initial training at QUT in Brisbane (Bachelor of Drama), she went on to complete a Dip Ed (Secondary) and an Advanced Diploma in art therapy. She is currently studying psychology with a dual focus on Environmental psychology and Art as healing and is also interested in incorporating psychology work with storytelling as performance and also as a tool for mental health.
